According to Prof. F. Maxmuller, Vedas are the most ancient books inthe library of the world. it is Devine Revelation as though a manual as tohow to lead life & from Cradle to grave. The Holy Vedas enjoin uponmankind “Matrimaan Pitrimaan Acharyavaan purusho ved.” i.e. it is themother, father & the teacher only by whom man’s character is molded.Rather, you can be rest assured that those who are devoted to mother, fatherand teacher blossom forth in the right direction. Many a times the firing bythem hurt children but they forget, that such a timely firing goes a long wayin their larger interest and character building.It is the mutual relations existing between the parents and theirchildren which plays the most decisive role in the ultimate making ofchildren. Parents pass on to their children the first hand experience throughwhich they themselves had already undergone and such experience do wellequipped their children to deal successfully with future circumstances andevents that may have to encounter in their future life. it is often seen thatchildren who are constantly in the company of their parents and teacher arein a position to ward themselves off from addictions and mal-behavior. Onthe contrary children who are away from their parents develop various badhabits and often resort to telling lies to parents in order to hide their own baddeeds.Now a days, it is visible every where that the younger generation ismuch more hard-working and more intelligent as compared with theprevious generation. But the only matter of grave anxiety is that theircontacts are not well rooted with their parents and precisely for this reason,the children invite problems for them. Or some times on many occasionsbecause of this, they indulge in many social offences e.g. sexual relations,drugs, drinking, smoking and so on. But a close relation with parentsdefinitely helps the children to refrain from the aforesaid vices. Lonelinessoften generates in children a type of mental debility as a result of which theyfall an easy prey to tension, stress, suicide or criminal tendencies.When we talk about finding a solution to all these maladies, then thereis no alternative but to surrender at the feet of our ancient religiousscriptures. If only today the younger generation turns their highly intelligentmind to find out solution to its problems from these scriptures full ofwisdom!
